Request: Custom Bars / Test Card

PostThu May 30, 2013 5:20 pm

It would be great to be able to change the default bars image stored in the ATEM so a company name could be added for times when the unit is remained switched on and streaming to an external company...

Well you are in LUCK!!! That is already possible.

It's pretty simple to use a media player to have that custom text/image keyed over the top of the color bars.

I did think of that, the only problem is - lately I'm having our unit loose connection to the control panel and I have to reset the switcher for it to re-connect, so ideally it be handy to have it ability to change the built in bars, so we didn't have to keep exporting the custom bars to the media pool.

The Decklink SDI has a sample player that generates the full frame color bars or use a graphic.
If you are using a card such a DUO or QUAD simple enough to create your own bars and/or test card.

Control panel connection should not be the issue, losing power is as any stored graphic will be wiped.
