FFMPEG with Blackmagic DeckLink Studio 2

PostWed Feb 13, 2019 8:39 pm

I'm needing to stream our live shows using FFMPEG
I have several Blackmagic DeckLink Studio 2 cards that I'd like to use but I can't seam to get it working quite right. Google has turned up mixed results but nothing with the exact match of what I'm trying to accomplish.

I could use Mac, Windows or Linux but so far all my trials have been unsuccessful.

The furthest I've gotten so far is on a Mac:
Code: Select all
ffmpeg -f avfoundation -list_devices true -i ""

[AVFoundation input device @ 0x7fbe84600480] AVFoundation video devices:
[AVFoundation input device @ 0x7fbe84600480] [0] Capture screen 0
[AVFoundation input device @ 0x7fbe84600480] AVFoundation audio devices:
[AVFoundation input device @ 0x7fbe84600480] [0] Built-in Line Input
[AVFoundation input device @ 0x7fbe84600480] [1] Blackmagic DeckLink Studio 2
[AVFoundation input device @ 0x7fbe84600480] [2] Built-in Digital Input

Where the BlackMagic shows up as an audio source but not a video sources.

Has anyone been able to successfully stream using FFMPEG from either a Mac, PC or Linux using a DeckLink Studio 2? could someone point me in the right direction to accomplish this?

What i understand is, that FFMPEG is not quiet up to the standards of Blackmagic or Apple codecs, they both will not give you any support on that, because of that.
Intensity Shuttle, ATEM Mini, Video Assist 5"(mini USB), Hyperdeck ShuttleHD,Analog to SDI mini-converter, software: Davinci Resolve 15 on Sierra, Resolve 18 on Catalina. (Using Apple OS 32 & 64 bit on different MacBook Pro's
