We did a Corvette Web Blast recording yesterday with our new 1 M/E after borrowing a TVS up until now. We had hoped to do a main and a backup recording, one on a laptop and one on an also-new Atomos Ninja 2. Laptop recording was all good (using a Mini Recorder and Media Express in Pro Res 422, no sync issue's either) but the new Ninja was not seeing an input at all off the 1 M/E's HDMI output. We put in the latest firmware and that didn't solve it.
Interestingly, when we plugged my little HD camcorder and a Sony EX1R camera into the Atomos they showed up, but reporting 1080p 25 and not 1080i 50.
I have seen only good reports of the Ninja working with ATEMs, but it's not always clear whether they are 1 M/E's or TVS's. Wondered if anyone can categorically say that it has worked with a 1 M/E.
Maybe we've got a duff'n.
