Using Strata View as a Tally Light...iDevice Camera Mount?

My work recently bought a 1 M/E and I've been thinking of different ways we can use it. Our cameras don't have tally lights and for an on-stage roaming wireless camera I thought Strata View would be perfect to use as a tally light. Only thing is I'm wondering how I can mount an iPhone or iPod touch to a camera like a Panasonic HMC80. We have 2 shoe mounts, but I haven't been able to find anyone that makes a shoe mount to hold an iPhone. Any suggestions besides gaff taping the crap out of it to the camera?

That might work. Would prefer if it went into the shoe mount though.

Good idea though - someone should just make an app where you can choose your input and then only display that inputs live status.

I think this will work. I just need a shoe mount with a tripod 1/4"-­20 screw. Thanks!

The free Strata View app does what you mentioned. You can select your camera input and the button becomes big then changes color. Red for program, green for preview, no color is neither.
