Camera Fiber Converter update?

PostTue Apr 30, 2019 8:38 pm

So NAB came and went without any official word on if the problems we have noted in the forum were being worked on or if we would see anything soon. We are a year in on the product with no updates.

Has anyone heard anything via back channels or from talking with reps at a show?

Matt,

I've already complained about that several weeks ago - no answer.

It doesn't seem to be of priority to BMD to communicate with their "pro" customers - or their customers generally speaking.

We showed a preview of a new software update that has menus added for changing parameters like talkback setup and XLR microphone gains. This was on the show floor at NAB and being demonstrated to anyone who asked about it.

This software update is not far away.

Thank you for the reply. Im surprised that info didn't manage to find its way to the forums with so many of us waiting on any word about this system.

All of the Camera and Studio Fiber Converters we had on the stand were flashed with that demo build and we were certainly happy to talk to anyone who asked about it. There were three units available on the stand to play with and one in a glass showcase at the front so it wasn't a secret.

Good to know an update is coming!
I'm dying to hear about the changelog from 5.1.1
- if it's not a secret, do you think you could share what new features the demo build had on the stand?
