Audio embedder - 16ch

PostTue May 14, 2019 7:51 am

Hi,
has anyone find a simple and nice way, how to embed 16ch of audio? Daisy-chaining 4xaudio-SDI in analog or 2x in aes-ebu is possible, but not nice (analog way) or where to get conversion of 16 analog ch. to multiple aes-ebu?
Preferably, how to embed it from whatever kind of digital inputs (MADI, dante, aes50..).
The teranex mini audio-sdi could be promissing, but it has only SPDIF on its optical input, not 8ch ADAT.

Still hoping the Atem 8K Constelation will be able to embed 16 channels to PGM direct from the Atem. Since it has MADI input now this would be a very logical step towards a real broadcast mixer. As in broadcast you need a lot of audio channels for various applications like sports and music events.

You d idnt mention a video format, but take a look at the AJA FS4. Will embed one 4k, or 4 HD using a MADI source.
