intercom/ tally information

i have been looking at the datavideo itc-100 and i'm wondering if you can use this unit and the gpi/tally interface and configure the the db-15 sockets on the back to make the tally interface from the tally interface.

any information on this would be great. i'm happy to make any cables if they are needing to be made.

you need the Blackmagic GPI and Tally Interface to connect to Datavideo ITC100.

Then go to Datavideo Homepage:

and download the maunal for ITC100.

On page 12 Datavideo describes the ITC100 Tally Input Pin Cross Reference.
As appendix an picture from the Blackmagic GPI and Tally Interface.
You see its PIN Reference.

Then you should buy an matching plug for the Blackmagic GPI and Interface and an matching plug for the ITC100 Tally.

Than you solder an cable from the Red LED LIVE (On Air) suitable PINs on the ITC100 Tally Plug to the suitable PINs on the Blackmagic GPI and Tally Interface!
This is handmade!
Dont forget to solder Ground!

There is no Preview/Next/Cued/ Info available on the Blackmagic GPI and Tally Interface....

I am not shure, but isn't it possible to reconfigure the Tally-Interface for signalling both states for a half of cameras ? .....

When you have someone who cares about your electrical devices, you migth use a arduino microcontroller and a relay card. Costs about 100 €/$ for material and a little bit of work.

yes, the Blackmagic GPI and Tally Interface does not output an Preview/Next/Cued/ Info.
Only "On Air" with the "GPI out" Connector.

ja, ich komme aus Ludwigsburg.

Wir haben ein ATEM TVS, ein Datavideo ITC 100, und machen meistens 2 Kamera Setups mit Zuspielern (viel Powerpoint WMV-Files. etc) .
