Have you tried a different model converter to see if the converter is the problem?
The bi-directional are running on a FPGA, while the Micro HDMI to SDI is dedicated hardware that is used in many HDMI > SDI converters around the world.

It might work much better for you.
Also it is very hard to vind out where your problem is located. As you use Magwell capturecards, BMD converters, etc.. Might be a config mismatch.. hard to tell without sending a different SDI source in like a Deciamtor MD-Cross or something.
