Does IS lens work ?

Is IS compatible with the Canon lenses ?
I was thinking of getting a 17-55mm f2.8 , for some handheld stuff

Not in the initial release, but BMD have said they are working on it.

Okay, I really hope Blackmagic can patch that in later. Image stabilization can be very handy if you can't / won't use a rig or a tripod.
