Media Express Windows video input rendering

Hi,

I am writing an application that needs to preview video input on a PC monitor, very similar to what the Media Express application does. I notice that the Media Express application video appears much smoother than the application I am writing.

What GUI framework, language, and video methods/framework are being used in the Media Express encoder?

Are there any plans to distribute this source with the SDK, or at least have some sample preview application that uses the same kind of preview code in the Media Express application?
