Psd files (render passes) from Zbrush

PostThu Nov 13, 2014 11:52 am

Looks like I can't drag and drop them into flow window but they a still importable through file/import/psd
Nevertheless even being in the flow they are turns red with "loader1 failed at time 0"

Am I missing something?

ps, Help is absent in the soft . Is there any on-line help ( text version)?

you can only import 8bit or 16bit int PSD files, 32bit float PSD is not supported

I have only those kind of files. When I load just a simple 8 bit psd from Photoshop it loads through file/import but all the nodes are getting immediately red once I try to see them in right or left window.

Same with 8 bit psd from Z brush

Maybe it depends of Photoshop version? I use CS5.

PSD import is completely broken here, it loads all the layers, but when you try to view them in the viewer they are all just a flattened version of the image

Did you save your psd files with that compatibility checkbox in Photoshop? I think all 3rd party apps need this to be able to read the layers.

I have the same problem with importing psd files. Looks like a mess in viewer, mixture of blending and god knows what.
