Soooo one thing led to another... Here is my introduction video.
I was playing around with the idea of adding to the body of the cinema camera, after looking at such awesome graphic concept art like this:
And ultimately this was my biggest inspiration to add to my BMCC body,
Kinefinity actually made a real add on and I was blown away. Very cool, but after looking through all of these examples and the actual NAB bmcc KINE PLUS+ made I realized that they were all super bulky and very wide! I actually made 3D models of the second art graphics and I was planning on building that as my add on.
This pic was me trying to drawing some ideas of how to explain my projects to Machine Shops and 3D Printer people...

But after my 3D models and looking over KinePlus NAB footage it just looked too bulky and would not even work as a shoulder mount. That was when it clicked, or didn't click... I realized if I was going to go through all this trouble to add more to my bmcc body than why not just build my own body and have more control of how I wanted things to be. Obviously it's much easier to write this down than to actually make it, and it's been a journey figuring all of the internal components.
I plan in the near future to upload "technical dimensional specs" for the interior. And help answer any questions anyone might have. Please keep in mind I don't recommend anyone doing this, you can easily break your camera and you can't blame anyone but yourself. At the end of the day this has been so far lot's of fun for me and I will continue until I fear things really wont work out and I'll just put it all back together and enjoy my camera as is, although I truly believe this is possible and for less than 1,000.00 I think it's worth it, considering I paid 2k for mine. Any how hope you enjoyed the read. Hopefully people will be interested in this. Stayed tuned for more pics and videos.
