Davinci Resolve 12 crash when export or duplicate a Timeline

Hello,

Resolve 12 crashes when exporting a timeline as .drp file.( Large project of a feature film)
Using OS X 10.10.4, Resolve 12.0.1.006, 32GB Ram . GTX760 4GB, 6 Core i7

It crashes also when duplicating this timeline and then try saving the project.
(It makes a duplicate copy of the timeline, which looks ok, but when saving Resolve crashes and the duplicated timeline is empty)
Looks like the there is an critical error inside this timeline which prevents resolve to make a copy of this timeline. The timeline itself works fine.

So I am not able to make a safety copy or new version of this timeline, what makes me a little bit nervous. HELP!
Its just to critical to work on a timeline with no backup possibility anymore.

Is there any tool to clean/check a timeline oder database for its consistency. What can I Do?

What type of database are you using?

Can you export the project from the Project Manager page, i.e. without the project being loaded?

Database.? The one which comes with Davinci Resolve 12 .. guess postgress or something like...

The Exporter crashes as well when trying to export the project from the project manager without opening it...

What works is, to use save as.... this creates an new project which looks ok(except that ist won't playback in realtime anymore.. but this is probably an other issue..)

Tried as well to create an new/empty timeline.. then copied the whole time line via copy/paste into the new/empty one...ok... when saving it crashes...and create an xxx.tmp.xxx Project.. in which the new timeline is empty...

Any hope to get this fixed?

Duplicating a timeline works, but when saving the project it crashes.

Creating a empty timeline and the copy/paste the mentioned timeline works. But same , when saving it crashes and resolve create an. xxx.tmp.xxxx timeline in the Project manager, which is empty.

What works is "save as" and use an other name. Then I got an new project which works. but im not able to export a .drp project or backup/Version od the Timeline.

Any chance to get this fixed?

Resolve supports 2 database types. A Disk and a PostgreSQL database.

If you open the Resolve Database Manager window, what is in the Host column for the database you are using?

its a disk database.

In the Database Manager Host column is the path for the Disk database.

In that path will be a Resolve Projects folder.

In that folder will be a Users folder.

In that folder will be folders for each Resolve user on the system.

In the user folder will be a Projects folder.

In the Projects folder will be a folder for each project.

If you can zip the folder for the problem project and post that file somewhere and provide us a link, we can take a look at it.

I'm able to replicate what you describe here.

I'll ask the development folks to look into it.

It looks like update to 12.1 will solve the issue
