[HELP] Multitrack Audio delivery question

PostWed Jun 22, 2016 9:08 pm

So, working on final delivery and the requested specs for delivery for audio are:

ch 1: Stereo Lt
ch 2: Stereo Rt
ch 3: M&E Lt
ch 4: M&E Rt
ch 5: 5.1 Lt
ch 6: 5.1 Rt
ch 7: 5.1 Center
ch 8: 5.1 LFE
ch 9: 5.1 Lt Surround
ch 10: 5.1 Rt Surround

I have them in the session, all as mono tracks and when I export it seems to compress all tracks to Channel 1 and Channel 2.

I can see the channels encoded via Inspector and they are selectable within VLC Player, though only channels 1 and 2 have audio on them.

Am I missing a setting or am i just SNAFU as far as exporting? Please advise, tyvm.

in the Audio Mixer, you have to select the intended target for each track. And in the audio selection in the delivery tab, you have to specify one track per channel. Just went through this myself.

Thanks for the response. Still only getting audio on channels 1 & 2.

On the Audio Mixer, do you have the Master section channel dropdown set to 8?

But WHY can you only monitor the first 2 tracks? I record a lot of 4 track material and it is very frustrating that you can only hear 2 of any track on the source side and have to re patch the output tracks as described above. Every other NLE simply sums all tracks to the stereo outputs. CC has a patching panel for monitoring as well. C'mon BMD.....
PLEASE HELP!!
DR Studio 18.6.3 b19, OS 13.2.1
2023 Mac Studio M1 Ultra, 20 core CPU, 48 core GPU, 128 GB ram
BM 3G ultra studio, 12TB SSDs in raid 0, 16TB HDD backup, 56TB archive server.
Tangent Elements panel, TV logic XVW-245W

Wholeheartedly agree!
Resolve's NLE aspirations require this functionality.
