12.5.1 on OSX 10.11.6 crash on deleting clips from timeline

PostMon Aug 15, 2016 9:51 pm

OK, just installed 12.5.1

opened a project I made in 12.5

"Save As" a different project ( basing a new project on the previous, so keeping a lot of stuff from it)

Added two more video files to the Media page

Go to Timeline page, select all clips on an audio track, then delete. Program closes instantly, no error message.

Open the project again, select a different track with just one audio clip - deletes OK.
Saved the project.

Select all clips on the other track, hit delete - Same issue, BOOM! Out go the lights.
Can repeat this every time... it's only an 8 minute project, not a lot of stuff there...

More fiddling... opened the project again and went into Media page and deleted the raw audio there. Edit page then showed its multiple clips in red. Deleted first clip, OK. Deleted second clip, OK. Deleted 3rd clip - program abruptly exited with no error message :( Something to do with the ripple edit?

OK... opened the project again, selected all the audio clips on the track, but this time right clicked and chose "Delete Selected" (instead of the delete key). PROGRAM DID NOT CRASH.

Saved the file, nervously getting on with work for now...

Strangeness... tried to replicate this with a brand-new (made in 12.5.1) project, and can't crash it.

Tried a couple of other old projects, and similar "delete key" action does not crash them either.

But I do have two recent projects that DO reliably crash Resolve in this manner. Am I the only one? :?:
Any hints from the crash-log??
