The clip is a AVCHD file from a SONY HXR-NR-100 USING Picture Profile 6, GAMMA ITU709. I have clips in the same format that work correctly. There is ProRes file from a NINJA 2 RIGHT before it and right after it.

All clips regardless of type are transformed to RGB pixel data and then the image processing is applied. So it's extremely strange for a clip to not have proceeding applied, unless you have set the clip as "flat pass" in the color page or deliver page. Right click on the thumbnail to check.

If that's not it, select just that clip to render as a single clip, even with an large gain change to see how it behaves as a single item. If still incorrect post your clip and the exported project for peer review.

is that clip a "remote grade " by any chance?

No remote grade. Edited and graded on a local computer. The clips are stored on 12TB drive array. I rendered just the clip in question. However, I could not tell if its lift and gain had changed. I rendered the clip before the clip in question, the clip in question and the clip following the clip in question. The problem appeared. I rendered the whole project. The problem persisted. I watched while Davinci Resolve was rendering and noticed that the change in left and gain appears during rendering.

Here's a link to the render project on YouTube:

It happened again last night except this all of the grading disappeared from once clip. In addition could no longer graded the clip. Very frustrating since I just finished grading the project. I pull a test render to check my work. A few things needed fixing. When opened the project one clip had lost its grading and seemed locked.

I'd be curious if it's possible that the one clip was in Bypass in the timeline.

As far as version go I have been unable to get the "Versions" feature retain all of the versions. It will keep the last version I created.

i think only in the commercial workflow you can export multiple versions of a shot

is not clear of you have "remote grading on" or "local grading"

did you try to export to another file format just that shot and check?

I have Local Grading on. I'm using two formats: MP4 and ProRes.
