Canon C700 (Ursa Mini copycat?)

Does this thing not look like a direct rip of the ursa mini?

Maybe BM should get some hints from it?
Internal ND, a lot of customizable buttons dials etc... just for start.
Not to mention where handle attaches, hope BM redesigns their fail point...

More of a "wanna-be" as Raw recording is an option add in external recorder, lens mount change has to be done by Canon, internal HD recording is only 4.2.0 to a AVCHD type codex, not 4.2.2 ProRes. The list goes on. The choice is do yiu want the best image quality or. Ore shooting convience and are you prepared to spend five times the money, $28K vs $5K? The new Canon is obviously aimed at a C100/300 shooter who want more, but from Canon.

It looks like an f55 if you mean visually. As for everything else it's just following the current trend of a slightly larger 4K sensor with raw and prores to cfast. Everyone's doing it lol, canon are just the last to adopt.

Here's a reasonably objective review (as much as anyone can be objective--count me out) of the Canon EOS C700 with sample footage:

And it is $28K, for each mount version you want (Lock EF or PL), and B4 adapter is an additional $2K, plus you are restricted to B4 lenses with mount pin connections for power and "manual" zoom is listed on B&H site.
