All handheld with some post-stabilization in Premiere
Edited and graded in Resolve

Who needs an Ursa! Great work mate. I really like my BMCC, unfortunately the big issue for me is the moire and poor colour rendition at warm kelvins

The Moire, in the early days of owning the camera was almost a deal-breaker, but I guess after a while it just becomes second nature on avoiding it. Hardly every crops up now.

Yeah I found workarounds, have been shooting everything with a 1/8 Black pro mist recently. And was very close to buying an OLPF from this guy www.rawlite.com (Amsterdam based)

I'll have to check the pro mist filter out, I've yet to use one yet. How you finding it?

Yeah I'm a fan, 1/8 is barely noticeable, so doesn't really add a look as such, just takes the edge off the digital image. Highlights can bloom though with the filter. 1/4 is noticeable and a definite look.

I may have to invest in one. I'm never a fan of baking in a look via a filter but if the 1/8 just takes the edge off, might be my next purchase.

Why is she so mad? It's not like she doesn't have a MacBook. I'd be like, "hey! I have a MacBook! Soccer practice? No problem. I can bring my MacBook!" So, she clearly shouldn't be so mad.

Just shows what production design and vision can do when combined with the appropriate tools. Good, good stuff.

Adam, I know hindsight is 20/20, but think how great that last shot would be if we saw she was using a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 (and had to set it down as she felt the battery overheating)!

What you have though is very good.

Lol! I know! It's a sick piece created by seriously demented minds. But so much evil fun! We used to scare the hell out of each other when we were kids, making haunted houses etc. After all, Salem MA, home of the Salem witch trials is right down the street from me. This is a very short movie with birds in the nature.Its shooting with my ursa mini 4K, Canon 24-70 f2.8 II and Canon 70-200 f2.8 II lens, no ND filter. The aerial footage is do it with Phantom 3 Professional.

Shot this last week on the UM 4.6k (4.6k ProresHQ), graded in Resolve mostly with James Lejeuene's great ACES-style LUT, keyed with Hawaiki Keyer in FCPX.



The camera, with firmware 4.0, performed like an absolute champ. Love this camera.

Lovely piece. And Darren is totally right, your camera has the crosshatching issue. I can see it clearly at 1:17 into the video. Check the crosshatching thread started by Gary Yost on this forum for detailed explanation of what to look for and an example of how to document the issue for BMD support.

Super Moon 2016-11-04 coming soon to a screen near you! Got up at 2am. Managed to start filming the moon over the Pacific at its closest approach to Earth since 1948. It was about 363,323 km away about 4:40am. About 9am now, I'm going to bed.

I want to see those shots Rick. It was overcast here when the moon come up. By midnight it made my yard look like early morning, and I could see the entire yard in all directions. Close moon also = high tides, and the coastal tidal rivers flooded over one of the two highways out of here, that follows the river.

my first attempt at a REEL...

Here's a short video including some footage previously seen. Some new stuff. Put this together for an old client who wanted to advertise that Winter is Coming...



The night time footage outside of the bar was shot in -17° F weather. This was all URSA Mini 4.6K EF footage shot in RAW 4:1 and with Rokinon Cinema Lenses.
