Terribly Loud / Distorted audio on normal 5.1 track

PostThu Feb 16, 2017 6:25 am

Hi all,

I'm dropping a 5.1 track that I mixed in adobe audition into a preexisting Resolve timeline (two scratch audio tracks in there, working fine. When I drop the track in, I can see the waveform is completely maxed out... and it sounds like a distorted, loud disaster.

The same track, when previewed in Adobe Audition and dropped into an Adobe Premiere timeline, sounds completely normal.

Any ideas?

Make sure your audition render format is not 32 bit, try to make it 48kHz and 16 or 24 bit. Just a guess.
