Mini pro 4k output

PostFri Mar 17, 2017 11:49 pm

Does the 12G bnc output a live 4k signal?
Can the camera playback a 4k recording?
Cheers

It should output the same shooting resolution (except Raw) you are shooting.

Thanks Denny,
Can it playback raw?
Whilst recording raw what is output on the 12g?

Not sure, but on the Pocket and BMCC it is film Log 4.2.2 10-bit video stream at the recording resolution, 1080p24, for example. You should be able to set the output resolution and color setting (film log or Rec 709 video)
Cheers

On URSA Mini and URSA Mini Pro you can send out 2160p or 1080p from the 12-Gig Main SDI.
The Front SDI will only do 1080.

So if you are shooting anything from 4.6K down to Ultra HD you can send 2160p over a single cable for record and playback from your Main SDI. The non 16:9 formats will be scaled accordingly to retain the correct aspect ratio and letter boxed where needed (IE 4K DCI or 4.6K 2.40:1).

If you are shooting anything below 3840x2160p such as 3K Anamorphic, 2K 16:9, 2K DCI or HD you will be sending 1080p.

If you are shooting RAW or ProRes Film you will be able to view these in Film, or you can choose to apply a 3D LUT to your monitoring outputs. These can be switched on or off for each output.

For compatibility with legacy equipment you can also send 1080i50, 1080i59.94 or 1080i60 over the SDI when you camera is set to a 50p, 59.94p or 60p record format.

Thanks Tim, I knew the UM 46 output had more options.

I'm trying to use mynew URSA Mini Pro to connect to my ATEM Television HD and am not able to get it to see the feed from the front or rear SDI. I'm not sure what I might be doing wrong here. Please help.

What resolution is your ATEM set to, and what is the camera setting you are trying to use?
Need more info here.
