possible with UltraStudio 4K and 1 Mac to

create PIP with 2 sources (1cam + 1 laptop) like this


possible to live switch + record with only one Mac

?? it's possible to direct record with thnderbot port ?

Direct live video / Recording on Thunderbolt Yes.

But 2 inputs or split screen like your example needs a lot more hardware..
to do exactly what the image shows youneed a 2me switcher and use the supersource function to position 2 camera's Side by Side like this..

There are cheaper ways to do this.. But they don't look that in anyway like this (normal video mixer with a vertical wipe on 50 procent. Showing the half of 2 images.. ) or do a PIP with the DVE of the atem tvs hd...
Or buy a Nice piece of software that allows you to capture 2 sources and put them Side by Side

Depends on your mac, How you want to record and with what you want to record it..

The TVS HD has no recording option at all..
