BMPCC Won't Record?

Hello guys! Hoping you can help me out, I've had this BMPCC for about a month now and STILL haven't been able to use it, first my Metabones didn't fit but now they've replaced the fitting and I still can't use it! I have a SanDisk 95mps, 64GB SD card, but when I press record it turns from "Ready" to the Red recording symbol, but it seems to be a Standby symbol. It stays red, but the timer also stays on 0:0:00. Does anyone know what may be going on here? I'm so annoyed cos I'm just so desperate to shoot!!

Is the SanDisk SD card you have one from the approved list we have in the manual? If you are unsure, here's a quick link for your reference.

Also, did you format the card in the camera before attempting to record?

Check your settings for Timelapse Recording (turn it OFF) it appears at the bottom of the recording settings list. I believe it's a common newbies-mistake to hit "left" instead of "MENU" to exit this list, but by doing so you set an interval (eg. 1 frame, 2 frames, ... 10min) which let's the camera take a shot (1 image) then wait "interval" before taking the 2nd shot, ...

Also, when recording look closely at the red REC dot (in top left corner) it looks like a timer when in Timelapse, but should look like a full dot when in Filming mode.
