Webpresenter output

PostThu Apr 13, 2017 2:52 pm

Hello,

I am very interested by the Webpresenter, and can't find any information about output configuration.

In most of my use cases, I will have to connect the source (presenter laptop, camera, wireless microphone) to the presenter to record or stream with OBS, on mac or Linux. And then, I need to connect the output to a standard projector for the attendees.

In some place, there are modern projectors with a 720p HDMI input so that will work. But in most place where I work (convention centres, training/meeting rooms, ...), there are good old projectors with 4:3 ratio, like 1024x768, with a VGA input.

How can I connect the HDMI or the program SDI output of the Webpresenter to this kind of projectors, so that the video is adapted to them? Is there a HDMI to VGA or SDI to VGA adaptor that could do that?

What would you recommend?

There are a few ways to go to VGA.

This is 1 of them including a scaler internally. So if you feed 1080P in the converter but your projector goes only to 1280x1024 it can convert down for you to match your projector settings.

OK, I'll look at something like that. Thanks.
