A capture card is not exactly a direct replacement for this. They are similar. Most capture cards require the software you are using to take control of the capture card via installed drivers that accompany the card. The Web Presenter uses a more generic protocol of UVC drivers, so that it appears to your computer like a web cam. Similar, but different, depending on your usage. In some cases, they would be practically the same. For Skype or similar, the capture card will not work well for you, or even at all - while for professional editing software, like Premiere Pro, the web presenter would give subpar quality video.
The more direct replacement for the web presenter would be an AJA U-Tap or a Magewell XI100DUSB. But if you can use a more professional interface, the plethora of capture cards are generally higher quality.
