XML import, problem with Compound Clip (size data from FCPX)

PostThu Apr 20, 2017 12:04 pm

I have a problem with importing XML from Final Cut X to Resolve. I work with raws from Ursa Mini Pro. First I export DNGs to Prores & XML to Final Cut X, then I cut it there & export back to Resolve. When I import it, I leave "automatically import source clips" off, so I can still work with original DNGs. Everything goes smoothly, besides that, I can't edit the original DNG without using "Decompose in Place" & when I use it, I lose size information from Final Cut X (I reframe there a lot). I don't have multiple layers of video tracks, only one, so I don't get it why it creates "Compound Clip". Is there any way to keep size information & still be able to edit DNGs?
