Resolve 14 Beta: "DaVinci Resolve has stopped working" error

PostSat Apr 29, 2017 5:04 am

As the title says I am having trouble getting the Beta for DR14 running on my PC. The error message pops up when opening the program and it's consistently occurring. The error message says "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

I just switched from OSX to Windows so I'm not 110% familiar with all the troubleshooting yet. I'm just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction to RESOLVE this issue (see what I did there?). Please don't make me go back to throwing money at Adobe every month.

Thanks!

I can't open Davinci Resolve 14 Beta

PostWed May 03, 2017 12:13 pm

Hi,

I just downloaded and installed Davinci Resolve 14 public beta and when I click to open the program, I get a pop-up window saying "Davinci Resolve stopped working, A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available". Initially my Windows Defender seemed to have a problem with this program as it was saying something about it being public.

My computer specs:

Windows 10 Pro 64bit
AMD Ryzen 1700 8 Core
Sapphire (11256-02-20G) 8GB RX 470 NITRO PCI-E VGA CARD
32GB Ram DDR4-2400 HyperX FURY
Western Digital Blue 500GB Main Drive
Western Digital Raid 2TB Hard Drive

I look forward to your help.

Thanks.

Please disregard this thread, issue has been... RESOLVED...

The solution was to download DR 12.5

Moderators, feel free to take it down.
