It's a standalone recorder not a preview device. It's not going to work in FCPX as a preview device.
You can connect it to Mac over ethernet cable, but this is only to offload recorded media (over some ftp client).
No power supply is needed- you connect power cable- do you see big connector? If not read manual :)
You have bought wrong thing- you probably need UltraStudio Mini Monitor:

which requires free Thunderbolt port.

Thanks Andrew for Answering: I have read the manual and seen the videos indroducing it. " Its really geared toward broadcasting/production houses who have the Switchers” A few answers:

Power Supply Cable:
Is not included.. Us regular Editors don’t have extra power cable sitting around. I should note that if i pay more than 600 dollars for the unit, I should come with everything necesary for it to power.

Conecting the Unit to the computer:
i thought that since it is a mini Deck: I was to connect it to my USB and be able to see the SD Card on the Media list on Import. The same as when saving my masters. I select the SD Card source and save to it. Now i see that was is not how it works. It works by puting the card in my computr and and dragging and saving that way. I still think that import/export directly to the card should be added!!! Feature request!!!

Duplicator Feature: Feature Request
1.__. I want to be able to access an App (hypeerdeck Utility and use the 2 slots as a duplicator.
2.__. I want to duplicate the contents of Slot 1 into Slot 2

Why not? I can but the much expensier 4K duplicator but i Don’t need 24 cards Duplication Right now. JUst 2

Hope i can figure out this unit into my workflow !!!

It's rather for broadcast.
It can be powered over ethernet port also using PoE technology.
