Capturing VANC data from DeckLink Mini Recorder

I use a DeckLink card to capture live streaming video for processing by FFmpeg. But at the same time, I would like to capture incoming VANC data via the DeckLink SDK. Attempts to do so, however, result in the error “Failed to enable video input” because it seems that FFmpeg has exclusive use of the DeckLink.

Is there a way to obtain the VANC data while simultaneously processing video through the card?

I can confirm that it is not possible to concurrently use a DeckLink interface such as DeckLink Mini Recorder from multiple applications.
