Select input source using DirectShow

PostMon May 08, 2017 8:44 pm

Hi guys, when I use the native DeckLink SDK, it is very easy to select the input (HDMI/Component/Composite/etc.) using the IDeckLinkConfiguration::SetInt(bmdDeckLinkConfigVideoInputConnect,...) method.

But there doesn't seem to be a way in DirectShow. Am I missing something? I've tried selecting various DirectShow pins on the capture device, but it doesn't work. I seem to only be able to use the previously selected input from the DeckLink SDK. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Is this even possible?

Thanks very much,
Bill

Hello Bill,

I can confirm that it is not possible to select the input (HDMI/Component/Composite/etc.) in DirectShow and the only way to select input (HDMI/Component/Composite/etc.) is to use the DeckLink SDK.

Hope this helps.

Waqqas
