PostTue Jul 11, 2017 7:36 pm

Any problems I should be aware of if I plan to do livestreaming with a
Panasonic GH4
Panasonic YAGH (SDI-out to the capture card)
Decklink Studio 4K in my PC
VMix livestreaming software

Thank you,

Also, how do I tell which Blackmagic Capture cards will allow more than one camera at once? (I may want to add something like a G7 to my GH4)

The only capture devices that allow multiple sources as ingest are the DeckLink Duo 2 and Quad 2 respectively.

I would not recommend any DSLR for live video or livestreaming!! They are not made for long recordings / long live video and tend to overheat!
I think the GH4 is a bit better then the Canon cameras.. But still they overheat..

Get a cheap HD video camera. They are more suited to do this as they don't have a huge 20MP chip that have to be cooled. ;)

I don't think I've ever seen a complaint of the GH4 overheating. Canon DSLRs are another story.

Yes it will work, But using a camera that is designed for post processing is not going to get you the best results do,or saturation wise as if you used a camera designed for live streaming.
