Problem setting up BMD UltraStudio Mini Monitor

PostThu Aug 10, 2017 6:30 pm

I just bought the Mini Monitor and have it hooked up from my MacPro > Thunderbolt > Mini Monitor > HDMI > Ezio monitor. I installed the software/driver the came with the unit as well so I can verify everything is hooked up properly. Now for some reason when I open up Resolve (preferences and project settings have all been set to use the mini monitor as device for output), I am seeing weird colors on the Ezio monitor:Image

The monitor's colorspace is set to sRGB, and in Resolve I've tried all YUV / sRGB / Rec709 -- nothing works. When I tried Premiere Pro, after selecting the mini monitor as the output device, I got a "low-level exception; player (60)" error as well when I hit spacebar to playback on the timeline.

What could I be doing wrong? Could it be a faulty thunderbolt cable?

Check if HDMI signal type is properly detected. Play with settings for HDMI input in Eizo preferences (force 4:2:2 setting).
Try different cable and TB port.
Re-install drivers. Try old version.

Hahha oh how silly of me -- forcing 4:2:2 in the Eizo preferences did the trick. I actually didn't know there was this setting lol. Thanks so much for pointing it out!
