Desktop Video - Where is the custom VANC setting?

PostTue Sep 05, 2017 5:37 pm

Hello folks,

Does anyone know where can I find the custom VANC setting in Desktop Video? (Our BoxIO is Ultrastudio TB 4K Extreme 3)
We want to make a HDCam SR tape with closed caption embedded in line 9.
I have been searching and looking for that with no luck. The one post is similar from what I'm looking for was posted in 2013, and it said under processing tab which it doesn't have it right now.

Does anyone have the same issue or know if it lives somewhere?

Output to tape with VANC.

This is actually a setting on the SR deck. It is described in the Installation Manual... Setting the Meta Data 3 packet.
Meta Data 1 (1080) default is Line 9.
Meta Data 2 (1080) is Line 19
Meta Data 3 (1080) is Line 20

To get into the Meta Data setup menu:
Press the DIAG button while pressing he (SFT/SHIFT) key.
Press F8 (Maint Exec) key while pressing the Shift Key.
Press F9 (Others Check) key.
Press the ALT key.
Press the F1 (Meta Data) key.

Press F2 to select the HDCAM-SR system. This varies depending on whether you have a 5000 or 5500 deck.
Set the meta data line with a combination of up/down, F8 (+) and F9(-) keysor the multicontrol knob.

SAVE the settings. Press F1 (NVRAM CTL) key.
Select "Save All Data" and press the F10 (Exit) key.

This is the default setting for HDCAM-SR decks.

It is different for HDCam and would require ANC:
Line 1 Line 2 DID and SDID data to be set.

For lIne 9 on HDCam, Line 01 set to 009, DID=61 and SDID=01

jPo, CSI

And by the way, the backup battery on my SR deck is hooped, its an IC on the SS-95 board and I would love to get that fixed. Because I have to factory reset the dang thing every time I shut it off and then want to use it again.
