open project on different machine

PostThu Sep 14, 2017 12:47 am

I have a 12.5 Resolve (full version) project that I have on my home Mac, but would like to open it on a different machine. How do I get the project file from my home machine to a different Mac?

Did you try the manual hidden under "Help"?
No, an iGPU is not enough, and you can't use HEVC 10 bit 4:2:2 in the free version.

Studio 18.6.5, MacOS 13.6.5
MacBook M1 Pro, 16 GPU cores, 32 GB RAM and iPhone 15 Pro

Export the DRP file to a removable drive, copy across all the source files, go to the new computer, import the DRP file as a new project, and then open it and relink it to all the source files.

This only works well when the versions of Resolve are identical. You can do it to some degree with exported still frames and XML files, but it's basically using a sledgehammer and can get quite time-consuming.
