Most common lens mount for Ursa Mini Pro?

PostMon Oct 09, 2017 6:12 pm

Is there a particular lens mount that is most commonly used with the Ursa Mini Pro? Are there brands of lenses that go with each type of lens mount?

Noob here. I'm asking ahead of time so that when I purchase the Pro I will know what lens mount(s) to get at the same time.

Thanks in advance. More questions to come...I'm sure.

The UM Pro comes with a Canon EF mount, and can take interchangeable lens mounts including Nikon F (shipping now), PL, and B4.

Most of your questions can be answered by taking a look at the camera’s manual, which you can download from here scroll down on release notes in the center for Ursa Mini Manual, which includes the Pro:

I had heard in other forum posts that people with the EF mount prefer the Sigma 18-35 as their go to lens. On the super 35 sensor it's probably the most functional range for human interaction and documentary (not animals probs...). I have mostly vintage lenses myself because of price concerns but I looked up that lens and it's only about 450$. Apparently it's pretty sharp, very fast. Though I haven't worked with it personally. Just putting this up there for anyone else that stumbles across this post like I did!

Yep. It's also good with the Panasonic GH5/GH5s. I have an adapter, so I'll probably pick up the Sigma 18-35 sometime soon.
