Designing a motion path in the timeline editor, I can adjust the xy movemtent and shape the path with Bezier handles, I can adjust the zoom curve with bezier handles.
But where is the timing curve for Position?
It should be under Transform, but there is only Zoom X, Zoom Y, Rotation, Pitch, Yaw. It just moves linear from one keyframe to the next, and it looks robotic the way it moves. Is that a feature that will be implemented in the future, or a misunderstanding on my part on how this works? Is there currently a way to fine tune smooth motion?
BMD has never considered this a bug or oversight because the functionality exists in the Viewer overlay. It's just not very easy to use. So, indeed, a curve editor would be much, MUCH better.
apart from absolutely wanting a bezier curve: nothing to gain compared to the Transform tool. Everyone's desires.

I sometimes use the function in long shots from a main camera for live performances and with several adjustments over time it becomes impossible to handle it in the viewer.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

There are Bezier handles for path adjustment in the viewer, but this doesn't change at all the timing behavior. Fusion handles paths in the same way and there is a path timing curve with Bezier handles. It has had that feature for many years. And its really necessary, linear timing interpolation is rarely good enough.
Absolutely. And we need that functionality in Resolve, since Fusion is not really made for very long takes, neither for a situation where I put shots from other cameras over that one long main camera track.

Also +1 for this. All keyframe-able values should be available on the graph, including ones from Resolve FX etc. At the moment, animation curves for a single shot might be spread between the editor graph, viewer and color page. Not entirely convenient DC
Can we talk about how awkward the keyframe controls are to use in general? They are better than the bizarre premiere controls in the effects control window but still miles away from where they could be.

Despite Fusion, hasn’t this been implemented in the edit timeline? Myself? I am out hustling for some .srt jobs, so I can revel in how much better it is than wrangling 700 subtitles by hand!
