Font in fusion on Linux

PostMon Nov 28, 2016 5:47 pm

I'm getting very limited number of fonts in fusion. I have tried to install custom fonts but it didn't show up in fusion's font list. How can I add a custom font ?

I figured out that when you install fonts in Ubuntu, they go into:

/home/youruser/.local/share/fonts

But Fusion looks in /usr/share/fonts

So you have to manually copy the fonts over to /usr/share/fonts
or go to Fusion Preferences Path Map and change the Fonts: entry to your local folder.

Even better, remove the fonts folder in /home/youruser/.local/share/ and make a symbolic link to the /usr/share/fonts folder

e.g.: ln -s '/usr/share/fonts' '/home/youruser/.local/share/fonts'

Also make sure that your user then has read and write access to /home/youruser/.local/share/font
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, AMD Threadripper 2990WX 32-Core, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080Ti 11GB, 64 GB Ram.

Check the directory where your font is installed and add this directory to File/Preferences/Global/Path Map/Defaults/System

You can have multiple directories there by separating them with ';', like this:

Code: Select all
$(FUSION_FONTS);/usr/share/fonts;/home/me/.local/share/fonts

hey
have the same problem in Fusion but inside Davinci Resolve since the downgrade to 15.2.2
My fonts inside Fusion disappeared (still available in Resolve lol). I don't even have a fonts folder inside /home/username/.local/share.

Weird. Don't know how to fix the issue. Have to stay on version 15.2.2 since 15.2.3 and later have alpha using ACES messed up.

is there an equivalent to this in 16.1? seems not to pick up my fonts any more after the update
