Favourites in/out favourites and rejected clips views

PostMon Nov 06, 2017 9:34 am

I am used to marking clips in FCPX like this:
- choose in/out and mark as "favourite" on clips in project

and than I view just favourite sections of clips and start to put them into timeline?

is there any way how to reach this in Davince Resolve 14?

Secondly
- use "rejected" mark for bad clips - to be deleted, i show all of them to me and than DELETE theirs source location from FCPX.
- which way I can delete clips as batch from DaVinci?

thanks for tips

I'm in the same boat as Ladislav - looking for a fast way to mark up selects after a shoot. Has anyone got any good workflow tips, preferably keyboard based?

Bump.

I haven't found a good workflow for this yet. It's led me to do initial assembly in FCPX, then port an XML over to Resolve when I'm ready to really start to get an edit dialled.

Any hints folks?

When I first switched to Resolve from Adobe Premiere Pro, I found myself still trying to do what I was accustomed to doing in the old software. That very quickly got frustrating.

I found the best approach was to 'forget' what I knew about editing and learn Resolve as if I were new to the field. Things went much smoother after that.
