Fusion Beginner Problem - No Video Preview

PostSat Nov 18, 2017 1:19 pm

Hi,

finally i received my new Notebook - a Gigabyte Aero 15, which came with Windows 10 Home - and trying to install Fusion on it. Resolve and other graphics intensive Software works fine, but with Fusion i have the Problem that there is no way i can display anything on the preview monitors. Neither the left nor the right. Is this a common Problem? Basically i have just installed and started Fusion, so not a lot of possibilities to mess up the settings as of yet. BTW, i have the latest Drivers for Intel iGPU and NVidia dGPU & Cuda installed...

Any hints?

Sorry for the question, I didn't understand if you know how to display content on the preview monitor.
Did you direct some node on the monitor?
By themselves they don't display anything if you don't direct a node on them.

Cheers!

Also, sometimes some functions that Fusion needs to run get blocked by your firewall. I don't know if Fusion uses scripts of some sort to run the displays, but this could be the case.

@Umberto: Valid question, but yes, i watched a tutorial before trying stuff, so unless the mechanism changed in the meanwhile (dragging the node to preview to one of the windows), i think i did it correctly.

As for the firewall: i am not blocking particulary hard and like i said, my system is still pretty default since i have the computer less than a week.

Sorry for asking such a basic thing, my fault.
The only other issue that come in mind is the openCL.
Try deactivating openCL usage in the app properties.
Please note there is a global setting and a per composite setting.

@Umberto: Thanks for the idea, i had tried that already. I ended up reinstalling the NVidia Driver (although i dont even think it was a new Version) ... and it WORKS.

Thanks again.
