Fixing light flicker

PostThu Nov 23, 2017 4:13 pm

Any suggestion on how to do this?

In shake it could be easily done using a "match grade" node, plugging a single blurred frame to use as reference for the entire sequence. Any way to do the same in fusion?

Thanks

I think you can do a similar operation with a Color Corrector node -> Histogram -> Match

No experience with it myself, but the krokodove plugin (free) has a deflicker tool. You need to be on Studio version of Fusion to use it.

an old school trick with just build in nodes:

Blur the image by 200-300%, divide it by a static frame of the same blurred image but timestretched to a reference frame and multiply the result with the original

Thanks for the replies!
It's turned out not to be that simple though...

The histogram match seems to be exactly what I was looking for, but it crashes Fusion every time I try it.

Regarding the other trick, could you expand a little? When you mean divide, do you mean it using the Channel Booleans mode? Because that's giving me unexpected results...

Thanks!
