Editing two timelines together

PostMon Nov 27, 2017 4:53 am

Hi Everyone,

I am new to Resolve. Using 12.5 as 14 has a bug my computer hates. I have edited a short film that has a number of scenes. Each scene has been cut in its' own timeline. Now I need to cut the start of timeline for scene 2 onto the end of the timeline for scene 1 and so on with timelines for the rest of the scenes till I have one complete timeline of all the scenes. Problem is I can't seem to accomplish this. If I put the timeline for scene 2 in the preview window, copy and past it into the end of Scene 1 in the edit window, I lose all Scene 2 take to take information and the four tracks I'm running on Scene 2 get combined into one track: Dialogue A. What am I missing/doing wrong? Thanks to all who respond.

Regards,

Thomas
