LUT vs. LUT

PostTue Nov 28, 2017 10:15 am

HI there,

i´ve got Clips, shot on the Sony PXW-FS7. Codec: AVC Intra CBG Class 100/YCbCr 4:2:2 10bit. Capture Gamma equation: S-Gamut3.Cine/S-Log3.

At the end I need a Rec709-Master.

In DaVinci i used to use the 3D LUT Sony SGamut3CineSLog3_to_LC-709.
But I also tried with the SONY Catalyst Prepare. And I have come to very different conclusions.
Unfortunately, the Sony version is the better version for me.
so I took the cube files from the sony library, hoping that they would make the difference. but unfortunately the difference remains.
is there an explanation for this behavior of davinci? or are there other cube files that can handle this material better?

with thanks in advance and best regards
Stefan
