Powering Video Assist 4K via D-tap cable

PostTue Jan 02, 2018 1:18 pm

Hi,

I just got hold of the Lanparte D-Tap to DC Barrel Power Cable, which allows you to power your 2.5K or 4K Blackmagic Camera directly from a D-Tap-equipped power source. Can anyone confirm that they use this particular cable with their Video Assist 4K monitor/recorder without modification to the cable - or - if the Blackmagic Cameras are “interchangeable” with (or similar to) the Video Assist 4K when it comes to the use of external power sources?

Thank you!

Best,

Yes you can, While the VA 4k says 12V on the body. The power regulator will accept up to 17Volts.

Thank you for your kind help. Sorry for the delay. I wasn't aware of your reply until now. The forum notification might be off or something.

Best,
