So I have the BenQ SW271 as a UHD grading monitor.
It has hardware calibration, but only with BenQ's software "Palette Master", which gives you limited control.
So I found this workaround, and want to know if this will work:
My 'Decklink Mini Monitor 4K' connected to the new 'Mini Converter SDI to HDMI 6G' with SDI (which i don't have yet). And the 'Mini Converter SDI to HDMI 6G' connected with the monitor through HDMI 2.0.
Calibrate the monitor with CalMan and upload the LUT to the 'Mini Converter'.
In theory it should work, but would like to hear from you guys if I'm right.
And I have some concern about potential lag.
If this works it also opens up a great new way to get your client TV, of other consumer panel, to show some calibrated colors.
