ATEM TV Studio HD Won't Update or Connect

PostTue Jan 09, 2018 9:18 pm

Hi all,

I just took over as TD at a church, and inherited an ATEM Television Studio HD in our of the rooms I now manage. I know the device had previously been controlled via network, but when i went to go use it, the device would not connect to the control software. It will connect to the setup software, and when it does, it prompts an update, and then the update immediately fails. Tried via UBS and network, on2 different computers.

There was an IP issue that i though may be it, but I resolved that and still no dice.

Cannot find where to see current software version, it just prompts me to update to 7.2

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Best option is to downgrade the control software on the PC/Mac to version 7.1.2 and try connecting. If that still says an upgrade is required then try 7.0 which is the original version the HD's shipped with.

The only real bug I had heard of with the original version was to do with media pool graphics being persisted and impact if you changed the units resolution and then tried to update the firmware.

Keep all control devices at same software Version. If not the ATEM allways will detect a version mismatch, when both PCs are connected....
