No Video Assist found

PostSun Jan 14, 2018 4:27 pm

Hello,

Video Assist setup is displaying the message: "No Video Assist Found" when I attempt to install a LUT in my Video Assist 4K.
The computer is running Windows 10 family version 1709.

I think my cable is good since the Video Assist is found on an older laptop running Windows 10 family version 1703.

Anyone had the issue ?

Try to avoid using USB3 ports. These tend to have issues with the driver..
Try another USB port.
Try a different cable( yes i know)
Try removing software and install it again. Make sure you have the latest software..

So i had simliar problem with ultrastudio connected to client macbook when his macbook wasn't able to see ultrastudio when our macbook had no problem with it.

Solution was to accept device in privacy options (for some reason privacy and protect blocked it).

Maybe that's the case with your win pc? Some security option could be blocking your device.

Okay, just got the answer from some educated user in a FB Ursa Mini group.
In a few words, It was a driver signature issue.
Check "How To Disable Driver Signature Enforcement in Windows 10" on YouTube.
Solved my problem in 2 minutes.

Isn't that the way you're logged in, into Windhose ? as root user, or guest user ? that error pops up randomly :(
at any software.
sometimes you can set file flags, or you need to dive in system preferences.
Mac OS seems to have less of these errors.
