Rotating Shape Box for Polyline?

PostMon Jan 29, 2018 5:42 pm

I've looked in the manual for this. I found that I can adjust the "shape" of a Polyline with a Shape Box. But, what about rotating the Shape Box so I can rotate the mask as well? Is there a shortcut that allows me to rotate the Shape Box?

Thanks in advance.

Selecting points on a mask (or using the box shape) mask then using the following hotkeys lets you

Shortcut "t" rotates around the current mouse position as pivot
Shortcut "x" scales the X axis of the selection around the current mouse position as pivot
Shortcut "y" scales the Y axis of the selection around the current mouse position as pivot

Also you can hit SHIFT-B to do box selection and do regular transformations and hold down SHIFT when selecting the corners/points on the shape box to change the box in perspective mode.

I feel stupid now. I never knew this.

Thanks Alan.

Also 's' to scale uniformly, and if you are using a B-Spline, 'w' to modify the weight of a selected point (make it blunter or pointier).

Don’t forget “O” (oh, not zero) to adjust the Outline or Offset of the spline. It moves the spline in and out perpendicular to the tangent... in other words, like a grow/exapand or dilate/erode.

Comes in very handy for roto as you can apply it to a selection of points. To choke it in or out a little here or there.

I did not realize you have to HOLD DOWN the buttons not just type them. I was getting angry not being able to do this. haha
