Arri look library embedded

PostFri Feb 16, 2018 8:22 pm

Hi to all,

I was wondering if anyone knew exactly where in the workflow the Arri Look library metadata tags (that can be recalled on the thumbnail) are placed in the color workflow.

Like an input LUT our output LUT?

Thanks!

Hi Charles

Where are you applying it?
I believe anything Media Pool/Bin/Timeline is treated as Input

Can you put it on a node? that would be treated differently and depend on which node in your tree gets it.

Best way to check is test it on an Alexa clip with bright highlights (a window..)
if its Input you'll get clippings and less appealing roll off. (Unless Arri Looks aren't LUTs?)

Assuming you're talking about the "Apply ARRI CDL and LUT" command, it is applied to whatever node you have selected.
