DNxHR now that the Broadcast camera is out?

PostThu Mar 01, 2018 4:20 am

DNxHR It’s the promise of a dream that BM won’t deliver on until the community shows they really want it.
Although now they’ve released the Broadcast version of the camera will they have to get their ass in gear because just about every Network I have ever worked for uses Avid and wants DNxHR. :D

Yes Avid is the editor of choice for most broadcast houses I ever worked with also.

Its not about Avid persa... its about windows users get a much better codec than ProRes. With DNx we get a much faster work process in Premiere fx, as we have smart rendering.

So its not only for Avid users. Its for all Windows users.

Stephen Camera FW 5.0 has added DNxHD, both Progressive and 1080i to the Broadcast Camera. Now DNxHR should be the next step.

It’s my belief it will follow for the URSA Mini 4.6K cameras this year.
