SSD recorder with Big Ursa?

Hello!
Has anyone used the BMC SSD recorder with the big Ursa yet? I know it's made for the UM and UMP, but mounting aside, it should be 100% compatible, correct?

Not correct, to work ssd recorder need to convert two sdi from video data to info data, every camera that use it reiceved an update firmware to do that. Is the reason that you cannot use all cameras to do that, is the reason that you cannot use sdi out with T splitter to read original sdi out be cause is no more video output.
But you can use ones of many custom solution that appear with cfast adapter to ssd. Many of them cost since near to ssd recorder. Or you can build yourself like me. Search ursa mini 4.6k cfast ssd adapter on google and you can find many tutorials.

Dont count on it that there will be backwards compatibility between the big ursa.. (4 years old now) and a brand new add on made for the ursa minis..
The big ursa isn't on the website anymore so looks like BMD has discontinued the product.. I have read reports that B&H is dumping there stocks to clear out the stock they have left..

No, it won't work. Although the SSD module is using SDI connections, it isn't recording standard SDI video data. The SSD module requires a special data format only the URSA Mini's can provide via their latest firmware updates.
