Exporting Stills from the timeline

PostMon Mar 05, 2018 9:51 pm

Hi,

I'm using an iMac and DaVinci Resolve 14.

I have a timeline full of video clips. I want to export a frame as a still image, work on it in photoshop, then re-import it back in DaVinci Resolve.

How can I export a still frame as a .PSD, JPG, TIFF, or any type of file from Davinci Resolve?

Thanks in advance

Right click on a Still in the Stills area and select Export.

Note that the App Store version of Resolve can only export DPX stills.

If you want to import the externally modified image back as a still, right click on an empty area in the Stills window, and select Import.

Again, the App Store version can only import DPX stills.

If you want to put the modified image on the timeline, load the frame into the Media Pool.
